Again, the reason my wife allowed me to buy all the fancy photography gear is due to how pretty it made our babies look! Here's my second born when she turned one.
How cute is she?!?! Yes, I know that's a rhetorical question... she's the cutest little girl in the whole wide world! I can say that because my first born is now the cutest big girl in the whole wide world... so I'm not playing favourites. All this practice taking pictures and portraits of my family has helped me to become the family photographer I am today. I love weddings, but I love family portraits even more.
But... I have a confession to make... People under 1 year old aren't really people. WHAT?!?! That's right... they are just a sack of potatoes! ;) They don't do much, can't move around, can barely hold themselves up in a seated position. Makes them very difficult to photograph. And they even look like little aliens!!! Don't get me wrong, there are people out there that can do wondrous things with newborn photography... I'm just not one of them. And I've loved my little darlings since the moment they were born... I just think they got much cuter around the time they were one year old. Like a fine wine, they get better with time. (I say that now because I don't have teenagers yet... we'll have to wait and see what that stage of life brings)
